Course Details

This course will cover a survey of western art from the earliest known works of art produced during the pre-historic era up to the Medieval period in Europe. Students will be introduced to a variety of media, including: painting, sculpture, and architecture. We will discuss specific works of art in light of their historical, political, social, and religious context in order to distinguish individual significance and contributions.
